Dustin Sorensen double dips in Dirt Kings weekend at Mississippi Thunder and Winneshiek

Back behind the wheel of his J&S / JCB No. 19 Super Late Model, Dustin Sorensen checked into Mississippi Thunder Speedway (Fountain City, Wis.) on Friday afternoon for the opening night of a doubleheader weekend.

With 26 Dirt King entries on hand, Sorensen topped the speed charts in his group before picking up the heat race victory. Rolling off third in the Stars and Stripes 40, Dustin quickly moved into the runner-up position before taking the top spot on lap nine. Sorensen led the remaining 31 laps to secure the $3,000 victory over Jake Timm and Tyler Bruening.

Looking to go two-in-a-row with the Wabam Dirt Kings, Dustin Sorensen followed the tour to Winneshiek Raceway (Decorah, Iowa) on Saturday afternoon.

Once again starting the main event from the second-row, Sorensen chased down Tyler Bruening in the closing laps and grabbed the lead with just six laps to go. Dustin collected a $5,000 payday and completed the weekend sweep.
