Garrett Alberson tackles Dirt Late Model Dream with Roberts Motorsports team
Making the long-haul on Wednesday afternoon, Garrett Alberson unloaded his Roberts Motorsports No. 58 machine at Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) for the 30th-annual Dirt Late Model Dream.
After Mother Nature wiped out Wednesday's FloRacing Night in America event, Alberson sat on the sidelines for Thursday as he was placed in Friday's preliminary night.
On Friday, Alberson qualified 11th-quickest in his group before grabbing the final transfer spot in his heat race. For the $25,000-to-win preliminary feature, Garrett started 14th and finished 12th after 50-laps.
For Saturday's $100,030-to-win main event, Alberson got shuffled back in his heat race which relegated him to the back of a B-Main. Despite a hard charge to the front, Garrett still came up a few spots short of making The Dream.
Wrapping up his extended weekend on Monday afternoon at Kokomo (Ind.) Speedway, Alberson set quick-time among 18 Late Models before leading flag-to-flag in his heat race. Rolling off from the pole in the $15,000-to-win feature, Garrett raced up front before breaking a J-Bar and driveshaft late in the race. Alberson was scored 10th.
