Chase Holland grabs top-5 finish at Paragon during Midwest trip

A trip north to Indiana and Illinois made up the schedule for Chase Holland over Father’s Day weekend.

On Friday, Holland and his team hit Paragon, Indiana’s Paragon Speedway for the Dave Peeden Memorial, which featured 17 cars in the DIRTcar UMP Modified class. Holland clocked the quickest time in his group qualifying session on the 3/8-mile track, then turned in a third-to-first run in his heat race. He started the 20-lap A-Main from the third spot and claimed a fourth-place result behind Brayden Watson, Derek Groomer and James Walters. Tyler Loughmiller rounded out the top five.

In addition, Holland crew member Mikey Drury drove his team’s backup car to a ninth-place result at Paragon.

Saturday saw Holland and the crew move on to Highland, Illinois, to race among 23 DIRTcar UMP Modifieds at the quarter-mile Highland Speedway. Holland won his heat and began the 20-lap feature from the third spot. He stayed up front for the majority of the race, but ran into trouble late and posted a 17th-place finish.
