Tough weekend with Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series at Lancaster and Cherokee

With the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series close to home, Chris Ferguson made the short trip to Lancaster (S.C.) Motor Speedway on Friday afternoon for the Buddy Crook Memorial.

Falling back in his heat race, Ferguson started 21st in the $12,000-to-win feature and was an early retiree on lap nine.

At his home track of Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, S.C.) on Saturday, Chris qualified second-quickest in his group before pulling off a heat race victory. Starting on the front-row of the $20,000-to-win Rock Gault Memorial, Ferguson was running inside the Top-3 when mechanical issues ended his night early.

Ferguson dropped to seventh in the series point standings over the weekend.
