Herrington weathers tough weekend with Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series

Trying to remain in the chase for the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series championship, Wil Herrington made the long haul to Lancaster (S.C.) Motor Speedway on Friday afternoon for the Buddy Crook Memorial.

Starting towards the rear of the $12,000-to-win feature, Herrington pulled off early and finished 25th.

Hoping to find more speed at Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, S.C.) on Saturday, Herrington put himself in the show with a third-place finish in his heat. Starting ninth with $20,000 on the line, Wil recorded a 14th-place finish in 50 lapper.

Herrington is ninth in the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series point standings.
