Tyler Emory
Podium finish in Jason Dunham Memorial at Bradford Speedway
Tyler Emory got an early start to his Fourth of July celebrations with a trip to Potomac Speedway (Budds Creek, Md.) on Wednesday afternoon for the Gene Van Meter Memorial.
Using Wednesday’s program as a test session after breaking out a brand new car, Tyler elected to tag the tail for the opener after noticing a few issues early in the night. He completed a few laps before pulling in.
For the Jay’s Automotive United Late Model Series (ULMS) sanctioned program on Thursday at Bradford Speedway (Rew, Pa.), Emory steered to a third-place finish in the second annual Jason Dunham Memorial A-Main.
In a field of 19 ULMS entries on Friday at McKean County Raceway (East Smethport, Pa.), Tyler got turned around early in the main event but was able to rally from the tail up to a fifth-place finish when the checkers flew.
Competing in the unsanctioned Nathan Lauer Memorial on Saturday at Marion Center (Pa.) Speedway, Emory squeezed into the $5,000-to-win A-Main with a fourth-place heat performance. Pinned on the seventh row, Tyler improved five positions in the 40-lapper to finish ninth.
Emory’s weekend concluded with a 12th-place finish in the Mike Farr Memorial on Sunday at Eriez Speedway (Hammett, Pa.).
Tyler is currently in third in the latest ULMS point standings.
