Clay Harris follows Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series to Iowa; tries hand with Malvern Bank Series
Before setting off to Iowa with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, Clay Harris stopped into Lincoln (Ill.) Speedway on Monday afternoon for the second Castrol FloRacing Night in America event of the season.
With a talented 22-car field on hand, Harris finished sixth in his heat race before running 18th in the $20,000-to-win feature.
Following the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series to 34 Raceway (West Burlington, Iowa) on Thursday afternoon, Clay took a provisional for the $15,555-to-win event and finished 16th in the 50 lapper.
After both Friday and Saturday's events were rained out, Clay Harris and his team made the long haul to Shelby County Speedway (Harlan, Iowa) for the Malvern Bank Series event.
Moving from third-to-second in his heat race, Harris found himself in a B-Main where he fell back and missed out on making the $7,600-to-win main event.
