Tony Gomes and Dominic Scelzi led the all California front row to green but things would come to a stop as Destry Miller would do a front wheelie and flip in the rear of the field and quickly exit the car under his own power. On the second attemp there would once again be a caution for an incident with Tim Martin, Levi Klatt, and TJ Richman. On the 3rd attempt Gomes would take the lead after what looked like brief contact with Scelzi in turn 3 and on lap 2 Johnny Burke looked like he came down and Chase Goetz made contact and flipped in between turn 1 and 2 (driver was okay). On the next restart Scelzi would dive into turn 1 and pass Gomes coming out of turn 2 with Colby Thornhill quickly moving into second. In a couple laps Scelzi would have trouble getting by with two lapped cars battling for position and Thornhill would make some clutch moves and pass both the lap cars and Scelzi to take the lead.We would have 2 more stoppages for Colton Heath andAustin Taborski, then Dan Reynold with a crazy wall ride which would cause 3rd place Gomes to spin but he would keep going to retain his spot. After a fuel stop and a late caution Thornhill was able to hold off a late challenge from Scelzi followed by Dominic Gordon, and your last locked in car for Sunday Tony Gomes. Your shark racing engines hard charger was Levi Klatt, and the Bayview Building Materials hard charger was Luke Didiuk. Heat race winners went to Chase Goetz, Tyler Thompson, Colton Heath, Dominic Scelzi, Dominic Gordon, Jordi Meese, and your high points was Dominic Scelzi..
The Northwest Focus Midgets with a Summer Challenge Race, Garrett Thomas led the field to green and Shane Smith from 4th quickly moved into 2nd and Hannah Lindquist lost her momentum on backstretch with Alex Peck moving into 3rd and in turn 4 Thomas slide up to the outside causing Smith to go really wide and Peck took advantage and moved into 2nd. The battle for 3rd and 4th between Smith and Lindquist would be tough but Smith would be able to hold her off. Out front it was smooth sailing in the non-stop 25 lap main event for your winner Garrett Thoma, followed by Alex Peck, Shane Smith, Hannah Lindquist, and Doug Davenport.
In the Hornets Randy Goodman and Kenny Miles would lead the field to green but and incident with Gunter and Briggs Sr would bring out the caution and another restart. On the complete restart Kenny Miles would get the jump but Max Sandord and Mike Harritt (in the Harding 29) would stay right there battling joined by Tyler Sundstrom and Cory Sweatman (starting last after winning 3 last week). Sweatman would waste no time getting to the lead but the red would come out for what looked to be a lost engine on the Tyler Sundstorm car that resulted in big flames. On the restart Sweatman would check out for the win but the battle behind was hot with Landon Pruitt getting second, Mike Guffey third, Mike Harriett fourth and Max Sanford fifth. Heat race wins went to Cory Sweatman, Max Sanford, and Kenny Miles.
