McCreadie Fifth in Silver Dollar Nationals Finale

Tim McCreadie and Rocket1 Racing made gains throughout the 14th annual Silver Dollar Nationals presented by MyRacePass before recording a fifth-place finish in Saturday night’s $53,000-to-win finale with their Valvoline / Seubert Calf Ranches No. 1 Rocket1 Racing / Ace Metal Works / XR1 Rocket Chassis / Durham Racing Engine Super Late Model.

“We got better throughout the weekend, and on Saturday night we needed more long green flag runs to really show our hand. We were a little off with the setup for the 80 lapper, but I think that in itself shows how far we’ve come in a short time because even a month ago, given this same scenario, we might’ve not even finished in the Top 10. I’m proud of this team and the gains we continue to make. I’m excited for the upcoming week because we have a lot of racing on the schedule,” McCreadie said.

Tim McCreadie and Rocket1 Racing opened a busy week of Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series competition on Monday and Tuesday. McCreadie raced to a fifth-place finish on Monday at Eagle (Neb.) Raceway’s $10,000-to-win affair before recording a 12th-place finish on Tuesday evening in the $10,053-to-win program at Shelby County Speedway (Harlan, Iowa).

The team then invaded Huset’s Speedway (Brandon, S.D.) on Thursday for the opening round of the 14th annual Silver Dollar Nationals presented by MyRacePass. After registering a sixth-place finish in Thursday’s $10,000-to-win prelim, McCreadie charged to a third-place finish in Friday’s $10,000-to-win prelim feature.

Via his performances in preliminary action, McCreadie locked into the fifth-starting position for Saturday night’s $53,000-to-win finale. Early in the 80-lap feature Tim slipped back a few positions before rallying late to finish fifth behind Devin Moran, Bobby Pierce, Brandon Sheppard, and Tyler Erb.

Tim sits fifth in the latest LOLMDS championship points.

Tim McCreadie and Rocket1 Racing’s schedule for the upcoming week includes five nights of action. Festivities include $15,000-to-win XR Super Series events on Monday and Tuesday at Davenport (Iowa) Speedway followed by a $20,000-to-win Castrol FloRacing Night in America event at Fairbury (Ill.) Speedway. Then on Friday and Saturday, the 2024 edition of the Prairie Dirt Classic will be held, which posts up to a $100,000 winner’s check with lap leader money included.

Rocket1 Racing with Josh Richards at the wheel won the Prairie Dirt Classic (PDC) in 2016. Meanwhile, Brandon Sheppard snared wins for the team in 2017, 2019, and 2022. Tim McCreadie was a PDC Champion in 2014.
