Jason Feger tops MARS visit Federated Raceway at I-55
A busy race week for Jason Feger Racing kicked off on Thursday with a visit to Sycamore Speedway (Maple Park, Ill.) for the rescheduled DIRTcar Summer Nationals event.
After racing into the main event with a heat race victory, Feger set sail on the opening lap of the feature and led wire-to-wire in the 30-lap affair aboard his Titan Industries No. 25 Late Model. He banked the $6,000 payday ahead of Dennis Erb Jr., Frank Heckenast Jr., Brian Shirley, and Shannon Babb.
Joining the MARS Late Model Championship Series on Friday for the JR Kimler Memorial at Farmer City (Ill.) Raceway, Feger followed up a heat triumph with a fourth-place outing in the A-Main.
On Saturday at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 (Pevely, Mo.), Jason timed in second-fastest in his time trial group before picking up a heat race win. Taking the green in fourth in the Tribute to Don Klein main event, Feger overtook the Daniel Adam on lap 15 and survived multiple late-race restarts to secure his 12th win of the season and the $5,000 winner’s paycheck.
Feger’s weekend concluded on Sunday with a third-place finish in the MARS finale at Adams County Speedway (Quincy, Ill.).
Jason holds a 52-point lead atop the latest MARS point standings.
