Wet weathers ruins second weekend of Schaeffer's Oil Southern National Series

Rolling into the second week of competition on the minitour, Brandon Overton joined a 29-car field at I-75 Raceway (Sweetwater, Tenn.) on Tuesday night.

Missing the setup in qualifying, Overton was forced to run a B-Main where he would finish runner-up. Starting 18th in the $7,553-to-win feature, Brandon charged into the Top-10 for a ninth-place finish.

Series events at Senoia (Ga.) Raceway, East Alabama Motor Speedway (Phenix City, Ala.) and Swainsboro (Ga.) Raceway were postponed due to Mother Nature while Screven Motor Speedway (Screven, Ga.) was rescheduled to Sunday. However, Overton was not in attendance.
