Sixth-place finish in Ray Houck Memorial highlights busy week for Dylan Thornton
Another action packed week of racing kicked off for Dylan Thornton on Monday afternoon with the XR Super Series-sanctioned Davenport Deal at Davenport (IA) Speedway.
After placing seventh in his heat, Thornton was a scratch from his B-Main.
Following a rain out in Tuesday's Davenport Deal finale, Dylan traveled to Clay County Fair Speedway (Spencer, Iowa) on Wednesday where he was pulling double duty. He followed up a 14th-place finish in the Modified feature with a eighth-to-second run in the Stock Car A-Main.
In two divisions again on Thursday at Kossuth County Speedway (Algona, Iowa), Thornton recorded a pair of Top-5 finishes. After picking up two heat wins, Dylan turned in a fifth-place performance in the Stock Car and a third-place run in his Modified.
For the Malvern Bank West Series-sanctioned Dale DeFrance Memorial on Friday at Marshalltown (IA) Speedway, Dylan salvaged a 19th-place finish in the feature after using a provisional into the $4,644-to-win A-Main.
After finishing sixth in Saturday's Ray Houck Memorial at Adams County Speedway (Corning, Iowa), Thornton's busy race weekend concluded with an eighth-place finish in his Stock Car at Stuart (IA) Speedway.
