Thornton records 12th win of 2024 at Benton County Speedway
A weekend competing in the Modified and Late Model ranks for Dylan Thornton ended in Victory Lane on Sunday.
Opening the three-race weekend on Friday at Marshalltown (IA) Speedway aboard his Petersen Insurance No. 38T Modified, Thornton turned in a fifth-place finish in his heat before taking the runner-up honors in the 20-lap feature.
In another second-place outing on Saturday but in the Late Model ranks, Dylan followed up a fourth-to-first heat showing at Independence Motor (IA) Speedway with a sixth-to-second charge in the A-Main.
Thornton capped off his weekend with his 12th win of the season on Sunday at Benton County Speedway (Vinton, Iowa) in the PRO Late Model Victory Ford Tour main event. He earned a $1,250 payday for the flag-to-flag performance in the 30-lap feature.
