USA Nationals bring Jeff Roth to Cedar Lake Speedway
Jeff Roth returned to the driver’s seat of his Roth Cattle Company No. 14R Late Model over the weekend as Cedar Lake Speedway (New Richmond, Wis.) hosted the 37th running of USA Nationals.
With inclement weather on Thursday evening forcing World of Outlaws (WoO) Case Late Model Series officials to shift the opening round of prelims to Friday afternoon, Roth joined a stacked field of 47 Late Models at the 3/8-mile oval for twin $6,000-to-win preliminary features.
He fell short of qualifying for the first round of prelims but did cap off the first session with a strong run in his B-Main, advancing 13th-to-9th.
Later Friday evening, Jeff took part in his heat race before scratching from his consolation race.
His bid for the $50,000-to-win USA Nationals finale on Saturday ended with a 15th-place outing in his 10-lap B-Main.
