Evaluating Options for Upcoming Plans
LEBANON, Mo. (8/12/24) – Showing no signs of rust after a summer hiatus, Tony Jackson Jr. returned to his winning ways on Saturday night with a COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) sweep at Outlaw Motor Speedway aboard his Superior Power Custom Homes / Elite Trailers / Willard Quarries No. 56 Longhorn Chassis Late Model.
The $5,000 triumph for the Lebanon, Missouri racer marked his third CCSDS victory at the 3/8-mile oval located in Oktaha, Oklahoma.
“Yeah it was a perfect night. Man, I got a lot of people to thank, we’re gonna run out of battery in this thing,” Jackson said. “First and foremost, I want to thank Rob (Schlup) and his wife Liz ... I wouldn’t be standing here, literally, without them. I want to thank Vinny (Guliani of VG Performance), he’s the guy, you know. I used to win races with him, got sidetracked a little bit the last few years and got back hooked up with him. Now I’m back in the same spot.”
To begin the night on Friday at Outlaw Motor Speedway, Jackson set quick time in hot laps and qualifying aboard his No. 56JR Super Late Model, besting a 21-car field. He went on to lead every lap of his heat race from the pole and started from the top spot in the 30-lap, $5,000-to-win feature.
Jackson also led every circuit of the caution-free main event to score his 11th career CCSDS victory and his first feature triumph overall in 2024. He took the win 5.622 seconds ahead of runner-up finisher Timothy Culp. Clayton Stuckey, Scott Crigler and Austin Smith completed the top five.
Jackson has now won all three CCSDS events contested at Outlaw Motor Speedway.
On Saturday, the CCSDS schedule shifted to the quarter-mile Springfield (Missouri) Raceway, where 28 Super Late Model competitors were on hand for another $5,000-to-win program.
Jackson took the checkered flag in his heat, putting him third on the grid to start the 40-lap feature. He ran in the second position early and ultimately brought home a sixth-place finish.
