Morgan Ward scores top-10 finishes in Casino Speedway double dip
Two feature events were on the docket for Morgan Ward at Watertown, South Dakota’s Casino Speedway on Sunday evening. The driver of the 605 Inflatables No. 37JR Late Model turned in top-10 results in each at the quarter-mile track.
First up, Ward started on the pole in the 25-lap WISSOTA Late Model feature postponed by weather on August 4. She finished in the ninth spot.
For the track’s regularly scheduled show, Ward was one of 19 Late Model racers in the pit area. She took the win in her heat race and started fourth in the 25-lap A-Main.
She ran as high as second in the main event before coming home in the fourth position, following David Carlson, Tyler Peterson and Chad Becker under the checkered flag. Jayson Good rounded out the top five.
After Sunday's two-feature program, Ward sits 10th in track points.
