RENNER, S.D. (08/27/24) – Further extending his lead atop the series point standings, Blair Nothdurft picked up a pair of Repairable Vehicles.com Tri-State Series victories over the weekend with his Bargain Barn Motorsports / Bargain Barn Tire Center / Western Provisions Inc. No. 76 Rocket Chassis Late Model.
After soaring to a $1,500 payday on Friday night at Fairmont Raceway, Nothdurft pulled off the weekend sweep with Saturday’s Salute to Heroes triumph at Worthington Speedway.
The win marked Nothdurft’s fourth of the season and his 12th career with the Tri-State Series.
“We have been picking up a lot of speed lately in the second half of August,” Nothdurft said. “We were a little uncomfortable in qualifying but my dad got this car dialed in for the feature. Big thanks to all my sponsors on this car, I am looking forward to championship weekend at Brown County.”
Red-hot Blair Nothdurft resumed Repairable Vehicles.com Tri-State Series competition over the weekend with a pair of events in the Land of 10,000 Lakes.
Amongst 17 Late Models at Fairmont (Minn.) Raceway on Friday night, Nothdurft raced his way into the opener with a dominating heat race win. Locked on the pole for the 20-lap main event, Blair cruised to flag-to-flag victory to claim his third triumph of the season and the $1,500 winner’s payday.
Continuing his hot streak at Worthington (Minn.) Speedway on Saturday, Blair once again started the $1,500-to-win feature from the front row and led flag-to-flag for his fourth victory with the series in the month of August.
The win also tied Nothdurft with Gary Brown Jr. as the tour's second-winningest driver in history.
Blair holds a 111-point advantage atop the latest Tri-State Series point standings.
