Tristan Chamberlain grabs Late Model victory at Montpelier Motor Speedway
World 100 Weekend at Eldora Speedway Up Next
RICHMOND, Ind. (09/03/24) – Tristan Chamberlain broke through to Victory Lane over the weekend as he notched his first Super Late Model win of the season at Montpelier Motor Speedway on Saturday night aboard his Gibson Racing / Vision Woodwerx / KEG Nozzles No. 20c Infinity Chassis Late Model.
The 17-year-old youngster outran Dallas Miller in the 20-lap feature to claim the $2,000 winner’s payday in the track’s Jake and Jensen Memorial.
“I definitely enjoy coming here, I always seem to do good here,” Chamberlain said in Victory Lane. “Big thanks to Wayne and Holly Gibson for letting me wheel this thing. We have learned a lot this year but I think we’re starting to turn the corner. Also want to give a shout-out to my crew and my family for all of their hard work.”
Saturday afternoon found Tristan Chamberlain in action at Montpelier (Ind.) Motor Speedway piloting the Gibson Racing No. 20c Late Model entry for the Jake and Jensen Memorial.
With 14 drivers checked in for the Super Late Model special, Chamberlain topped the qualifying charts and took the checkered flag in his heat race which placed him on the pole for the main event. Outrunning Dallas Miller to the checkered flag, Tristan picked up the $2,000 payday and recorded his first Late Model victory of the season.
At Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) on Sunday afternoon for the Baltes Classic, Chamberlain transferred to the $5,000-to-win feature after winning his B-Main and recorded a 13th-place outing in the 30-lap main event.
