Bob Cullen Racing teams rolls to pair of fifth-place finishes with XR Super Series at 300 Raceway
With no obligations to the World of Outlaws (WoO) Case Late Model Series over the weekend, Brian Shirley checked in with the XR Super Series on Friday evening at 300 Raceway (Farley, Iowa) for the 47th annual Yankee Dirt Track Classic.
Qualifying fourth-quickest out of 20 entries, Shirley finished runner-up in his heat and started the $15,000-to-win opener from the second-row. In the 40-lap feature, Brain came out with a fifth-place finish.
With $50,000 on the line Saturday, Brian started 10th in the 60-lap feature and made up five positions to score anther Top-5 finish in fifth. He trailed Ryan Gustin, Bobby Pierce, Ethan Dotson, and Tyler Bruening.
