Bruening snags pair of fourth-place outings with XR Super Series at Yankee Dirt Classic
With no World of Outlaws (WoO) Case Late Model Series scheduled for Labor Day weekend, Tyler Bruening took advantage and headed to 300 Raceway (Farley, Iowa) for the XR Super Series-sanctioned Yankee Dirt Classic.
Setting quick time out of 20 Late Model entries, Bruening took the checkered flag in his heat race and sat on the pole for the $15,000-to-win opener. Slipping back to fourth, Bruening settled for a Top-5 finish in the 40-lap feature.
Starting seventh in Saturday's $50,000-to-win finale, Tyler made up a few positions to match his Friday result as he trailed Ryan Gustin, Bobby Pierce, and Ethan Dotson while Brian Shirley completed the Top-5.
