Crate Racin' USA Closes Out September with a trip to Screven

(Eastaboga, AL – September 16, 2024) – Crate Racin’ USA will return to the Screven Motor Speedway for the highly anticipated Inaugural Daniel Lambert Memorial on September 27-28, 2024. This special event will mark Crate Racin’ USA’s first visit back to Screven since June 4, 2011, when Brandon Overton claimed victory in a thrilling 50-lap feature race.

The event is dedicated to honoring the memory of Daniel Lambert, a cherished figure within the Screven community and the Griffin family. Lambert, who passed away in September 2022, was deeply loved and respected by all who knew him. Screven Motor Speedway Promoter Kelley Carlton fondly recalls Lambert’s impact on the track and its people.

“Daniel was a great old fella; he was always at the racetrack, and everyone loved him,” said Carlton. “He was a happy-go-lucky guy who even sold fuel from time to time. He was incredibly close to Redd Griffin and the whole family. This event is a tribute to him, a father figure to Redd and a beloved member of our community.”

Lambert was not only a fixture at the racetrack but also served as an animal control officer, dedicating his time to rehabilitating injured wild animals. His compassion and commitment to both the racing world and wildlife left a lasting legacy that will be celebrated during the event.

The weekend's racing festivities will feature the Crate Racin' USA Late Models, as well as the 602 Late Model Bandits, Street Stocks, and Cop Stock. This event promises to deliver high-octane action and unforgettable moments as drivers and teams come together to pay tribute to a remarkable individual.

Fans can find more information about the Inaugural Daniel Lambert Memorial and the weekend’s schedule on the Screven Motor Speedway website at http://www.screven-motorsports.com/SMS/home.html or on their Facebook page at Screven Motor Sports Complex.
