Cecce captures Street Stock victory at Clinton County
A doubleheader weekend in New York and Pennsylvania kicked off for Dylan Cecce on Friday afternoon with the Jay's Automotive United Late Model Series-sanctioned Ted Siri Memorial at Outlaw Speedway (Dundee, N.Y.).
Drawing 25 Late Model entries, Cecce backed up the third-fastest qualifying effort with a heat race win. Vying for the $7,500 top prize in the feature, Dylan was an early retiree on lap 16 after making contact with the wall.
Electing to still compete on Saturday night after injuring his thumb in Friday’s tangle, Dylan broke out his Street Stock and headed to Clinton County Motor Speedway (Mill Hall, Pa.) for the Keystone 40. Winning the 40-lap feature by more than a three-second margin, Cecce cruised to his fourth win of the season.
He banked the $1,000 payday ahead of Shane Wolf, Cory Long, Denny Fourney, and Tommy Dawson.
