Ross Robinson tops Hills Memorial at Potomac Speedway
Ross Robinson got an early start to his weekend with a trip to Brownstown (IN) Speedway on Wednesday for the Castrol FloRacing Night in America event.
Against a stacked field of 37 Late Models, Robinson advanced into the $20,000-to-win A-Main with a fifth-to-third heat showing. Continuing his forward momentum in the 50-lap feature, Ross climbed six positions to register a fifth-place finish. He chased Hudson O’Neal, Tanner English, Tim McCreadie, and Devin Moran to the checkers.
After wet weather forced Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series officials to cancel the weekend doubleheader scheduled at Brownstown, Ross returned to action on Saturday at Potomac Speedway (Budds Creek, Md.) for the Hills Memorial.
Lined up second for the main event via a heat race win, Robinson outran Tyler Bare in the 30-lapper to claim his fifth win of the season and the $4,000 top prize. He finished 5.663 seconds ahead of Bare with Clay Harris joining the podium.
