Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP Racing Fuels Charges to Mudlick Valley Raceway for Fall 40 Weekend October 4, October 5

SOMERSET, KENTUCKY (October 1, 2024)- The Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP Racing Fuels will visit Mudlick Valley Raceway in Wallingford, KY on Friday October 4 and Saturday October 5 for the track’s Fall 40 weekend. The Cheaps Chevrolet 30 presented by Story Realty will take place on Friday October 4 paying $5,000 to win and the 2nd Annual Fall 40 presented by Green Tree Forestry and Story Realty will take place on Saturday October 5 and will pay $10,000 to win.

The Fall 40 weekend for the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP Racing Fuels at Mudlick Valley Raceway in Wallingford, KY will begin on Friday October 4 and will see the tour featured in a full program of Todd Steel Buildings “Building Speed” Hot Laps, E-Z-GO Time Trials presented by Brucebilt Performance, Heat Races, STAKT Products B-Mains, and the 30-lap, $5,000 to win/$500 to start Cheaps Chevrolet 30 presented by Story Realty Valvoline A-Main event. The UMP DIRTcar Modifieds will also be in action at Mudlick Valley Raceway racing for $1,500 to win on Friday October 4, while the track’s Sport Mods, KDRA Super Stocks, and Hornets will have hot lap/qualifying and contest their heat race events on Friday October 4 as well.

The Fall 40 weekend concludes on Mudlick Valley Raceway in Wallingford, KY on Saturday October 5 and will see the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP Racing Fuels in a full program of Todd Steel Buildings “Building Speed” Hot Laps, E-Z-GO Time Trials presented by Brucebilt Performance, Heat Races, STAKT Products B-Mains, and the 40-lap, $10,000 to win/$500 to start 2nd Annual Fall 40 presented by Green Tree Forestry and Story Realty Valvoline A-Main event. The UMP DIRTcar Modifieds will again in action as well, racing for $3,000 to win presented by Big Blue Outdoor, while the Sport Mods ($800 to win), KDRA Super Stocks ($700 to win), and Hornets ($600 to win) will contest their feature events on Saturday October 5.

Activities at Mudlick Valley Raceway on Friday October 4 will see the pit area open at 3:00 p.m. and the general admission area will open at 3:00 p.m. The driver’s meeting will be at 7:00 p.m., followed by hot laps and time trials at 7:30 p.m. Tickets prices on Friday October 4 in the general admission area will be $20, while a pit pass will be $40. A two-day pit pass can be purchased on Friday for $80 and patrons can save $5 for the weekend. A two-day grandstand ticket can be purchased on Friday for $40 and patrons can save $5 for the weekend.

Activities at Mudlick Valley Raceway on Saturday October 5 will see the pit area open at 2:00 a.m. and the general admission area open at 2:00 p.m. The driver’s meeting will be at 6:00 p.m., with hot laps and time trials set to get underway at 6:30 p.m. Ticket prices at Mudlick Valley Raceway on Saturday October 5 in the general admission area will be $25 and a pit pass will be $45. The track will host an open practice on Thursday October 3 for all divisions starting at 6:00 pm. $10 per person entering the pits.

The Valvoline Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP Racing Fuels will sanction the Super Late Model portion of the events and the tire rules will be as follows: Fronts/Left Rear: Hoosier NLMT 2 and Hoosier NLMT 3; Right Rear: Hoosier NLMT 2, Hoosier NLMT 3, and Hoosier NLMT 4 (there is no limit on the number of tires used; the droop rule will be in effect, along with the Unified Dirt Late Model Car Construction rules). The entry fee for each event is $50 and transponders for timing/scoring will be available for rent at the track. Any driver not making the 22-car starting field each evening will receive $75 tow money.

In the tour’s only other visit to the track in 2024, Josh Rice of Crittenden, KY would take the lead on lap thirty-eight of the forty lap event to drive to the win over Ryan Missler of Bellevue, OH, Rusty Schlenk of McClure, OH, Rod Conley of Wheelersburg, OH, and Cody Mahoney of Madison, IN in an event that saw three different leaders, with Rice and Missler trading slidejob passes for the lead before Rice would secure the top spot for good and claim the victory. R.J. Conley of Wheelersburg, OH is the defending champion of the Fall 40 event, leading all forty laps of the 2023 contest and taking the win over Tyler Erb of New Waverly, TX, Drake Troutman of Hyndman, PA, Greg Johnson of Bedford, IN, and Zack Dohm of Cross Lanes, WV.

The Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP Racing Fuels has completed sixteen events so far in the 2024 season and the tour has saw twelve different drivers grab Valvoline A-Main checkered flag, with the tour averaging 33.3 entries per event so far this season. Rusty Schlenk of McClure, OH is the current series points leader, tallying three event wins and earning thirteen top-ten finishes, with ten of those being top-five feature finishes. Seth Daniels of Jackson, OH is currently second in series points, with one event win and ten top-ten feature finishes, with six of those being top-five efforts. Ryan Missler of Bellevue, OH is third in tour points, with nine top-ten feature finishes, with four of those being top-five runs. Rod Conley of Wheelersburg, OH sits fourth in series points, with nine top-ten finishes and five of those being top-five finishes. Devin Shiels of Britton, MI rounds out the top five in series points at this time, with nine top-ten finishes, with three of those being top-five finishes.
