Lebanon, Oregon- The Summer Sizzle Tour will no doubt be the biggest Kart races in the state of Oregon this summer and is just around the corner. But before they take place Willamette Speedway on Friday August 9th the venue will host their seventh race of 2013. One could say that it is a tune-up for the first ever Summer Sizzle Tour which will end at Willamette on Sunday August 18th.

Ian Whisler still leads the Pee Wee division with the most he wins. He has won three times while Blake Boshart has done so twice and Bradley Stumph once. There have been three different winners in the 5HP Intermediate classification. Conner Hanson has achieved four triumphs while Brody Sim and Eston Whisler have one trip to victory lane each. With two wins apiece Caleb Henderson and McLain Beaudoin find themselves tied for most victories in the 5HP Open ranks.

Custin Jones has become the dominant force in the 125cc class winning three times in 2013. Three other drivers have managed just a single triumph. Those drivers are Casey Starr, Duke Johnson, and Kyle Roles. The same dominating style can be said for Kyle Cormican in the 250cc division. Cormican has been the victor five times in main event action this season. Eric Scofield is the only driver to have beaten Cormican in 2013 and that has happened just once.

Jake Ferguson is atop the win list in the current campaign when it comes to main event wins in the Open Kage. Ferguson has won three times while Brendan Waterman has been victorious twice and Kyle Cormican managed to earn a win against the Opens in his 250cc powered entry earlier this year.

Jerry Patterson has recorded two Speedway Kart victories and earning just one each so far have been Stephen Chase, Matt Ponzoha, and Devin Patterson. Jeff Broadwell has amassed the most Micro Sprint wins, with three, and Chelsey Kelly has just one win.

General admission to the Friday Kart race event will be FREE of charge. Pit Passes are $10.00 and Car and Driver fees will be $40.00. The pit gates open up around 4:00 PM and racing is scheduled to begin around 6:45. Updated point standings can be found at http://www.trophymotorsports.com/downloads/get.aspx?i=57818.

The Summer Sizzle Tour will start at the Albany Motorsports Park on Thursday August 15th with the Pit Meeting taking place at 4:45 PM and Hot Laps around 5:00. From there the teams will head south to the Cottage Grove Speedway on Friday the 16th which will have the Pit Meeting start at 6:00 PM followed by Hot Laps. The tour will take Saturday off to rest and recover before taking part in the grand finale that will take place on Sunday the 18th at Willamette Speedway in Lebanon. The Pit Gate is expected to open at 9:00 AM with Hot Laps at 11:00 for the Sunday show.

The Willamette Speedway is proud to provide an outlet for their future stars in the Kart program.
