MWDRS Increases Payout at Smackdown for Top Sportsman, Top Dragster and Juniors

The Summit Racing Equipment Mid-West Drag Racing Series presented by J&A Service and Flying H Drag Strip are proud to announce increased payouts for the fall Smackdown for Compressed Air Supercharging Top Sportsman, Race Star Wheels Top Dragster presented by Icon Forged Pistons, Race Star Wheels Pro Jr. Dragster, and Zimmerman Properties and Construction Sportsman Junior Dragster.

The Top Sportsman and Top Dragster payouts will increase by $1,000 a piece leading to a $4,000 to win purse, and the Junior classes will see a doubling of the winner’s prize to a $500 jackpot. The Mid-West Drag Racing Series is no stranger to purse increases with an increased purse announced for Pro Mod prior to the start of this season.

“It was important to (series owner) Keith Haney to make sure everyone felt the love and not just Pro Mod. The increased prize for this race comes across as a statement, to me, that all racers in all classes are appreciated by the MWDRS team. With amazing talent across the field with young guns like Tyler Wells and Jordan Eperjesi to champions like Rod Moore and junior talent like Jovee and Karlee Brundidge, Kenzie Wells, Cayden Duell, and more I can’t wait to see the increased competition and amazing racers that come from an increased payout” said series announcer Luke Carpenter.

The Smackdown at Flying H will be held September 19-20th at Flying H Drag Strip in Odessa, Missouri and will be streamed for free on Youtube on the Midwest Drag Racing Series’ channel.
