Lebanon, Oregon- Willamette Speedway will be the destination for several IMCA Modified teams from the Northwest as they converge to the 1/3-mile clay oval on Saturday August 24th for the Modified Tribute To Clair. The DIRTcar Super Late Models will make their return after a two week hiatus. Also on the card of excitement will be the Super Sports and Sportsman. Coming off a very busy weekend the Karts will be back on Friday the 23rd to start everyone’s racing weekend off.

General admission to the Friday Kart race event will be FREE of charge. Pit Passes are $10.00 and Car and Driver fees will be $40.00. The pit gates open up around 4:00 PM and racing is scheduled to begin around 6:45.

Saturday the pit gates will open at 1:00 PM, front gates 3:30 PM, and racing should be getting started around 6:00 PM. Admission prices are Adults $14.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $12.00, Youths (12 and Under) $6.00, Family Pass (Two Adults and Up To Four Youths) $35.00, and Pit Passes are $25.00.

The IMCA Modifieds have had several different winners grace victory lane in 2013. Monte Bischoff and Craig Cassell are the only two that have won twice. Drivers that achieved one win apiece include Jeffrey Rivers, Dustin Dittman, Jesse Williamson, Mark Wauge, Alex Stanford, Brody Pompe, Kyle Yeack, Mark Carrell, and Joey Tanner. Bubba Foster has an extremely thin six point lead over Jeffrey Rivers headed into Saturday night.

The “Modified Tribute To Clair” is a race ran in memory of longtime Willamette Speedway owner and operator Clair Arnold. There have been three Modified races ran in his memory since 2010 and has produced three different winners. Rob Mayea won the inaugural event while Dustin Dittman was the winner the next year in 2011 and Kyle Yeack is the defending champion of this race with his 2012 victory.

The DIRTcar Super Late Model ranks continue to be dominated by Trevor Glaser. Glaser has an impressive ten wins in 2013 and looks for more as the season still has good month left in the schedule. Russ Sell has won twice while Joey Tanner just once.

The Super Sport division continues to have a good point battle between Steve Moore and the Gil Pickett-Bob Jeffrey team as just over thirty markers separate the two. All three drivers have won two main events and are the only repeat winners of the campaign so far. Clay Debban, Randy Barley, Brian Smith, and Danny Altom all have recorded just a single triumph in the current season.

The Sportsman division has been quite entertaining all season long. Both Todd Miller and Brian Smith lead the win column with three apiece while drivers that have won on two occasions include Brian Goetz and Ron Berry. Single trips to the winner’s circle have been made by Phil Housworth, Brian Brown, Jeff Marson, and Clyde Rood.

The Willamette Speedway has operated since the 1960’s and is a facility where high car counts and great racing are the norm. The venue will hosts weekly action comprising of DIRTcar Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Sportsman, Super Sports, Street Stocks, and Mini Trucks.
