IMCA Modifieds To Support Herz Precision Parts CGS Wingless Nationals

Cottage Grove, Oregon- The Cottage Grove Speedway this Saturday August 31st and Sunday September 1st will host the return of the IMCA Modifieds. These great drivers will slice and dice on the historic ¼-mile for both nights of what is sure to be pure excitement. A tight point battle is occurring between three-time champion Braedon Hand and former title holder Curtis Towns. Currently the Hand has a six point advantage over Towns with just four races left.

Tickets for the races on Saturday and Sunday are $12.00 for Adults, Senior/Military/Junior (13-17) $10.00, Youths (6-12) $5.00, and Children under the age of five are FREE. A Family Pass is offered for $30.00 which includes two Adults and up to four Youths. Pit gates open at 2:00 PM, front gates 4:00, time trials 5:30, and racing starts around 6:45. An exclusive Two-Day pass will be offered for the weekend are $20.00 for Adults, $16.00 for Senior/Military/Junior (13-17) $10.00, and Youths $8.00.

Jesse Willamson and Curtis Towns are the only two drivers to have won twice at “The Grove” in 2013. Braedon Hand, Troy McEllroy, Mark Carrell, and Mark Wauge each have scored one victory apiece.

The Cottage Grove Speedway has hosted fast and exciting action as far back as 1956. Since then the ¼-mile banked oval has been regarded as a place where fast times are set and plenty of side-by-side racing occurs. Regular classes include 360 Sprints, IMCA Modifieds, NW Extreme Winged Sprint Cars, Late Models, Street Stocks, and Hornets from the months of April till October every Saturday night.
