Baseline Pawn To Sponsor Firecracker 100 At SSP

Banks, Oregon- Some great news for the Friday July 4th event on Independence Day at Sunset Speedway Park in Banks. The fine folks at Baseline Pawn in Cornelius have decided to sponsor this wonderful event. On tap for the evening will be the Northwest Extreme Late Model Series, IMCA Modifieds, Street Stocks, and 4-Bee’s. And to cap everything off a massive fireworks display will take place once all the racing is complete.

Greg Walters has won this event four times since 2007, including last year, while Brandon Lindberg picked up a win in the rain shortened 2008 edition. In 2012 Jerry Schram was the winner which saw the aforementioned series race against the DIRTcar Super Late Model chauffeurs that regularly inhabit the Willamette Speedway in Lebanon.

Sunset Speedway Park is scheduled to open up the 2014 season this Saturday April 26th. Classes included for that date are the Northwest Extreme Late Model Series, IMCA Modifieds, Pure Stocks, and the Womens division. Pit Gates will open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates open at 3:30, and racing starts at 6:00. Tickets for this event are Adults $12.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-18) $10.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $5.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE and a family pass will be offered for two Adults and up to four Youths for just $35.00.
