Northwest Extreme Late Model Series Back In Action For Spring Challenge At SSP

Banks, Oregon- The Northwest Extreme Series will be in action for the second time of 2014 at Sunset Speedway Park this coming weekend. In fact they will participate in both nights of the Spring Challenge at the “Banks Bullring” on Saturday May 24th and Sunday the 25th. Both events will be separate shows so fans will enjoy two nights of great racing on the ¼-mile clay oval.
It’s been over a month since the 2014 Season Opener for the Northwest Extreme Late Model Series at Cottage Grove on April 19th. Shaun Mayea was the big winner in a thriller over Brad Martin and Greg Walters. Martin enters the weekend with a four point lead over Greg Walters, and Jerry Schram while Jacob Myers and Josh Sim are tied for fourth in the table.
The Northwest Extreme Late Model Series has visited SSP a total of nineteen times since the organization’s inception in 2010 with Greg Walters winning the most at twelve triumphs. Collen Winebarger has three wins while drivers with just one include Terry Ferrando, Jerry Schram, Russ Sell, and Billy Workman Jr.
Both days the Pit Gates will open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates open at 3:30, and racing starts at 6:00. Tickets for each night is event are Adults $12.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $10.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $5.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE and a family pass will be offered for two Adults and up to four Youths for just $35.00.For more information log on to www.sunsetspeedwaypark.com.
