Banks, Oregon- After getting just one of the two nights scheduled for the Spring Challenge this Saturday May 31st looks to be the third race of the season at Sunset Speedway Park. Classes in action at the “Banks Bullring” will include the IMCA Modifieds, Northwest Extreme Modifieds, Street Stocks, Pure Stocks, 4-Bee’s, 600cc Restricted Micros, and 600cc Stock Micros.

Bubba Foster managed to pick up the only IMCA Modified feature this year while Oscar Luckman is the only driver to win in the only Northwest Extreme Modified event of 2014. John Ireland has been on a roll winning both Street Stock races and in the 4-Bee’s John Gartner and Stan Asanovic have earned triumphs in the first two races. In Micro Sprint action Kaitlyn Hammer was the winner in the Micro 600cc Stock division and Jesse Schlotfeldt was victorious in the first 600cc Micro Restricted main event. This weekend will see the 2014 debut of the Pure Stock division.

In a recent article published we mentioned the top five of the 4-Bee feature on Saturday May 24th. Unfortunately there was a few errors so the correct finishing order of the top five was Stan Asanovic the winner, John Gartner second, the Mark’s Towing and Transport #82 Dodge Neon of Troutdale’s Bo Jones in third, John Henry fourth, and Nick Henry was fifth. The rest of the correct finishing order has been posted on the results page.

Pit Gates will open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates open at 3:30, and racing starts at 6:00. Tickets for the event are Adults $12.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $10.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $5.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE and a family pass will be offered for two Adults and up to four Youths for just $35.00.
