NELMS To Decide 2014 Championship At Yakima

Yakima, Washington- The 2014 will come to a close for the Northwest Extreme Late Model Series when they visit the Central Washington State Far Raceway on Friday September 19th and Saturday the 20th. The 3/8-mile clay oval, located in Yakima, is the largest facility the series will visit in the current campaign.
Tickets to get into the fair are $10.00 for Adults (13-64) and Youths 6-12) are $7.00 each while Pit Passes will be offered both nights for $35.00. Your fair admission gets you into the race for FREE. For folks getting to the races early or hanging out afterwards the fair’s hours are from 11:00 AM until 11:00 PM both days. Also some great musical talent will be performing during the fair once the races are complete including George Thorogood & The Destroyers on Friday and Kansas on Saturday.
Historically the series has paid just three visits to Central Washington State Fair Raceway, once in 2011 and twice in 2012. Terry Ferrando swept the 2012 weekend while Greg Walters won in the tour’s first visit. Walters leads the win list this year with the Northwest Extreme Late Model Series including a total of nine main event victories, seven of which have been earned at the Sunset Speedway Park. Shaun Mayea, Collen Winebarger, and Phillip Johnson are the only other winners in the current campaign.
Walters leads the series by a mere ten markers over Brad Martin but due to a unfortunate set of circumstances it is most likely Walters will be absent for both nights of action.
