The Northwest Wingless Tour would be in action for the second time in 2015 on Saturday May 16th. The race would be held in Elma, Washington at Grays Harbor Raceway and is the second different venue the tour has visited this year. A total of nine entries would be in attendance and a good show would be put on display for the crowd in attendance.

Mike Romig out of Vancouver was quite fast for the majority of the race. Piloting the Herz Precision Parts #22R XXX around the fast 3/8-mile, Romig would be caught in the later stages and eventually was over taken with around ten laps to go.

The driver to make his way to the top spot was Salem, Oregon's Tim Alberding. Alberding, in his Alberding Racing #52 Maxim, managed to chase down and chip away at Romig's lead and afterwards cruised along to create a large gap over the rest of the field. He would comfortably cross the start-finish line to win his first career NWWT victory.

Mike Romig was second while the Weedman Ranches #27 Maxim of Guy Weedman from Moro, Oregon was third. Completing the top five finishing order was Auburn's Otto Jorgenson in his Jorgenson Manufacturing/Shareway Industries/D.G. Machine #8X entry, in fourth, and the Beaverton Automotive/Pro Tow/Rabourn Performance/Herz Precision Parts #50 Eagle of Brad Rhodes in fifth, out of Aloha, Oregon.

The Northwest Wingless Tour will take a few weeks off before returning back to Grays Harbor Raceway on Saturday June 13th. For the latest news and information regarding the NWWT visit wingless.nwextremeseries.com. Also be sure to check out the tour's Facebook page.
