Another exciting evening of action was in store for fans of Willamette Speedway on Sunday May 24th. Classes in competition for the second night of the Clair Cup were the Super Dirt Late Models, Super Sports, Sportsman, and Street Stocks.

Brian Cronk would sweep the Clair Cup weekend in Super Dirt Late Model competition. Cronk, chauffeuring the Metro Services/Dog Lover's Gold Dog Food/Northwest Gas Lines/Rose City RV #29 Rocket, became the first repeat winner of the season in the class.

Molla's John Duty was second in his Don Frank Flooring/Big Sky Landscaping/Mid Ohio Graphics/Metro Services #5 Rocket while his son, Justin and also from Molalla, would end the night third in the Don Frank Flooring/Big Sky Landscaping/Mid Ohio Graphics/Metro Services #15 Rocket. The balance of the top five included the J&S Farms/Cornett Racing Engines #37 Rocket of Bend driver Rob Mayea in fourth while fellow central Oregonian, and also from Bend, Darren Coffell crossed the stripe fifth in his Driving Force Graphics/Tube Shark Portable Tube Benders/Clements Racing Engines/Jimsflagsales.com #46 Rocket.

Gil Pickett from Salem would earn the victory in the Super Sport class. For Pickett, in his Pickett Custom Cabinets #82 Swartz, he would become the first repeat winner in the class.

The Dennis Automotive & Tires/Snap On Tools #13B Rayburn of Albany's Randy Barley was second and Scio driver Steve Moore would finish the Hackney Racing/Wirth Wireless #3 Swartz in third for car owner Glen Hackney. Tim Archer of Springfield was fourth in his Archer Floor Covering #18 Swartz while the Bubba Gump Shrimp Company #77 Flintstone Flyer of James Slover got fifth.

Tom Yeack out of Crawfordsville got the job done in the Sportsman division. The win would mark the second occasion that the Cascade Outdoor Power Equipment/Unlimited Business Service #49 Pro has visited the winner's circle. It ties Sandy Sanders for most wins in the 2015 campaign.

James Slover, doing double duty, would finish his Bubba Gump Shrimp Company #25 Shaw in the runner-up spot while the Hackney Racing/Wirth Wirless #1 Swartz of Lebanon's Jeff Rash was third for car owner Glen Hackney. Sandy Sanders of Junction City was fourth in his Royalty Homes #43 Avenger followed by Kyle Yeack, and Tom's son, from Lebanon in the Cascade Outdoor Power Equipment/Laura Gillott at Keller Williams Reality #47 Cutlass in fifth.

Kyle Yeack, also doing double duty, got the job done in the Street Stock main event. Yeack, in his Cascade Outdoor Power Equipment/Laura Gillott at Keller Williams Reality #47 Cutlass, would win his second straight race of the season and swept the Clair Cup weekend.

Eugene's Chris Sine managed to finish second in his Pro Auto Racing/Pure Romance By April/Murphy Plywood/Quantum Mechanics #24 Camaro with third place going to the Big Sky Landscaping #88 Camaro of Kevin Roberts from Gresham. Lebanon native J.J. Irvine was fourth in his Bullet Motorsports/Crocker's Cars/Bodies By Steve-O #K4 Camaro and the Gaylord Construction #34 Camaro of Mark Gaylord, out of Portland, got fifth.

Willamette Speedway returns to racing action on Saturday May 30th for the final race of the month. Classes on the card include the Northwest Extreme Late Model Series, Super Sports, Sportsman, Street Stocks, and the one and only appearance of the 2015 season by the Dwarf Cars.

Pit Gates will open at 1:00 PM, the Pit Meeting will take place at 2:30, Front Gates open at 3:30, and Racing starts at 6:00. Tickets are Adults $14.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $10.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $5.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE and a family pass will be offered for two Adults and up to four Youths for just $35.00.
