410 Winged Sprints Return to Moberly for First Time in 25 Years!

410 Winged Sprints Return to Moberly for First Time in 25 Years!

Windom, MN (May 26, 2015) – It has been 25 years since the high banks of Randolph County Raceway heard the echo of 410 winged sprints. That will all change this Friday night, May 29 when the FVP National Sprint League descends. The event will wrap up the “March through Missouri” that begins Thursday night at the Saint Francois County Raceway in Farmington.

NSL driver Brian Brown knows one place very well at Moberly…Victory Lane. The Grain Valley, Missouri driver has won every race he has competed in at the facility…but this is different. Those were 360 sprint car races, and Friday, the 410’s will be in the house!

Brian’s uncle, and fellow Missouri pilot Danny Lasoski also needs no introduction to Moberly. He was on hand when the World of Outlaws and the USA series visited back in 1989. The four-time Knoxville Nationals champion will be joined by current FVP National Sprint League point leader, the two-time “King of California” Tim Kaeding.

Noblesville, Indiana’s Bryan Clauson, who competed in last Sunday’s Indy 500 returns to the series this week. Seven-time Knoxville Raceway track champ, Terry McCarl, who picked up last Friday’s $10,000 Folkens Bros. Trucking Spring Nationals in Jackson, Minnesota is expected to be in attendance. Five-time Huset’s Speedway champion, “Dynamite” Mark Dobmeier, seven-time IRA champion, Bill Balog, nine-time and defending Australian World Series Sprintcars champ Brooke Tatnell, defending Knoxville Raceway champion Ian Madsen, NSL Eagle Raceway winner, Brad Loyet, last Saturday night’s Pevely, Missouri MOWA winner Paul Nienhiser and many more NSL drivers are expected to try and tame the high banks!

Other invaders are expected, including Hunter Schuerenberg, who picked up a MOWA win earlier this year in Granite City, Illinois.

Adult tickets are $25, kids 6-14 are $10 and 5 and under are admitted FREE! ULMA Late Models and USRA B Modifieds are also on the card. Grandstands open at 5 p.m., with hot laps scheduled for 7 p.m. Racing will follow. For more information on Randolph County Raceway, visit www.RandolphCountyRaceway.com!

Autograph Session 5 to 5:30!

There will be an autograph session from 5 to 5:30. Meet Brian Brown, Danny Lasoski, Ian Madsen and more of your favorite drivers and take an autograph card home from your favorite drivers!

National Sprint Car Museum Madness 2!

“National Sprint Car Museum Madness 2” will take place on Friday at Moberly. On-hand representing the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum in Knoxville, Iowa, will be NSCHoF inductee Bill Utz, with his famed Ol’ Yeller sprint car. Along with Bill’s number 56 machine will be the late Ken Taylor’s restored number 96 super-modified, as brought to the track by museum supporter Chuck Hines.

Said museum executive director Bob Baker today, “Missouri sprint car fans will want to come out and support this winged 410-cubic-inch sprint car event at Moberly on May 29. As an added value, we will be hosting Bill Utz of Sedalia and two famous open-wheel race cars in Show-Me State history. And we will be giving away hundreds of museum souvenirs on that Friday. The non-profit National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum in Knoxville is thrilled to be partnering with the new National Sprint League on this event at the Randolph County Raceway and six others in 2015.”
