Independence Day on Saturday July 4th would be Mid-Season Championship Night at Willamette Speedway. All five regular classes would be on hand for competition including the Super Dirt Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Super Sports, Sportsman, and Street Stocks. It was pretty much all repeat winners in victory lane at the end of the night except one new feature victor emerged triumphant.

Brian Cronk of Portland would earn another victory in the Super Dirt Late Model class. It would be his third of 2015 in the Metro Services/Dog Lover's Gold Dog Food/Northwest Gas Lines/Rose City RV #29 Rocket and it was his first since sweeping the Clair Cup weekend in May. Corbett's Collen Winebarger captured win number five of the campaign in his Discount Race Car Parts/FinishLine Graphics/Frisbie Motorsports #S Shaw by Taylor. Winebarger is on the path to repeating his 2014 track championship in the Mods.

Clay Debban found his way back to victory lane in the Super Sports. The last time the Shedd chauffeur, in the Brownsville Calf Ranch #84 machine, was in the winner's circle was on May 23rd this year. The Royalty Homes #43 Avenger of Sandy Sanders from Junction City continued his winning ways by collecting his fifth win this season in the Sportsman ranks. Finally Sandy's Doug Scott got the job done in his Eric's Frame Shop/What's Your Sign?/Whistle Stop Bar & Grill/Clackamas Steel #83 Camaro to win his first Street Stock race of the year.

Willamette Speedway will compete for two nights over the course of the coming weekend. Friday July 10th will be the “Tune Up For The Crocker's Cars Summer Showdown” which will feature the Kart program in action once again. On Saturday July 11th the 1/3-mile clay oval will be roaring once more for the Crocker's Cars Firecracker 100. The headline for Saturday night show is the one-hundred lap Super Dirt Late Model feature. Also on the card include the Super Sports and Sportsman while a large fireworks display will cap the whole night off.

General Admission to the Friday Kart race will be FREE of charge. Pit Passes are $10.00 and Car and Driver fees will be $30.00. The Pit Gate will open up around 4:00 PM and Racing is scheduled to begin around 6:30.
