Willamette Speedway would return to racing on the 1/3-mile clay oval on Saturday August 8th after taking a whole entire weekend devoted to Kage Kart racing. The Super Dirt Late Models, Super Sports, Sportsman, and Street Stocks would shred the clay for the Shriner's Cup.
Bricen James of Albany would win his second Super Dirt Late Model victory of the season in his James Gang Pizza/Lebanon Auto Body/Crocker's Cars/Linn-Benton Insurance #13 Swartz. The Showtime Vinyl & Apparel/Brownsville Calf Ranch #84 entry of Shedd's Clay Debban would emerge triumphant for the third time in 2015 with the Super Sports.
Lebanon native Chad Slover would once again win in the Sportsman class in his brother James' Bubba Gump Shrimp Company #25 Shaw. It marked the second occasion that he has done so. Kyle Yeack, also from Lebanon, would take care of business in the Street Stocks. Yeack has rarely had anything slow him down this season as it was the eighth time he has hoisted the winner's trophy.
Willamette Speedway is back in action on Saturday August 15th. With a couple of the local tracks off for the weekend there should be a stellar car count. Classes that will be in competition include the Super Dirt Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Sportsman, and Street Stocks.
Pit Gates will open at 1:00 PM, the Pit Meeting will take place at 2:30, Front Gates open at 3:30, and Racing starts at 6:00.
