National Sprint League at Huset’s Sunday!

The FVP National Sprint League makes its final appearance at Huset’s Speedway this Sunday.

Danny Lasoski leads the standings with the NSL entering a big weekend of action that features two nights at Jackson Speedway before a short-track cage fight at Huset’s on Sunday.

Lasoski took home the victory with the NSL at the series’ first appearance this season in the Big Game Motorsports, GoMuddy.com #2 finishing just ahead of Dusty Zomer. Zomer recently piloted this Buffalo Wild Wings #82 to a victory over the NSL at Huset’s. Between those two events, Grand Forks, North Dakota, driver Mark Dobmier scored an NSL wn at Huset’s in the Senske and Son Transfer #13.

Lasoski has nine wins on the FVP NSL tour in 2015 while Zomer and Dobmeier each have two.

Ian Madsen has been running strong in recent events to move into second in the National Sprint League standings. The 2014 Knoxville Raceway champion finished third in his last appearance at Huset’s.

Tim Kaeding has piloted the Folkens Bros. Trucking #3 to 18 top ten finishes in 21 feature starts with the NSL. The team will look to get into the win column this weekend and enters competition third in the standings.

Bill Balog, a seven-time champion with the Wisconsin-based Interstate Racing Association, is showing steady improvement with each visit to Huset’s Speedway. The drive nicknamed “the north pole nightmare” finished 13th at the first NSL event at Huset’s. He has since followed that up with finishes of 11th and 6th. If the trend holds true, look for the Buesser Concrete #17B to get a podium finish on Sunday.

Terry McCarl completes the top five in the NSL standing entering the action-packed weekend. The eight-time Huset’s Speedway champion has two wins with the NSL in 2015, those coming at the $10,000 spring nationals at the Jackson Speedway and at Knoxville Raceway.

Indianapolis 500 competitor Bryan Clauson is current sixth in the standings ahead of Brian Brown, former Huset’s champions Lynton Jeffrey and Dobmeier and Australian Brooke Tatnell.
