Jesse Williamson Victorious In The First Night At Yakima

The Northwest Extreme Late Model Series was back in action after a month off. Friday September 25th would have the series return to Central Washington State Fair Raceway in Yakima, Washington. Eleven Late Models were in the pit area representing the states of Washington and Oregon.
There would be a number of cautions in the first few laps of the feature but once it go going there would be some really good racing. Jason Johnson from Gresham, Oregon would obtain the lead on lap two in his Jackhammer Trucking/T&G Trucking/Pagel Towing #76 MasterSbilt. Johnson would stay in the position for several laps but began to be put under some considerable pressure.
Jason Johnson would lose the lead shortly after a restart around lap eight to Jesse Williamson. Williamson, from Eugene, Oregon, would check out from the rest of the field. Williamson would stay in the top spot the rest of the distance to win his second straight race at Yakima in the Jerry Schram owned Schram Brothers Excavating/Century III Stables/Bodies By Steve-O #16W MasterSbilt. Williamson now has three wins with the NELMS series in 2015.
Vancouver's Jerry Schram was second in his Schram Brothers Excavating/Century III Stables/Bodies By Steve-O #16W MasterSbilt while Jason Johnson ended the race third. The balance of the top five would consist of the Central Oregon Trucking/Driving Force Graphics/Ohlins By JDR #31B Rocket, driven by Redmond, Oregon's Ron Brewster, in fourth while Britton Donahoo, of Salem, Oregon, was fifth in his O&O Farms/Kartco Racing #5 MasterSbilt.
Jerry Schram was the quick time award winner and also won the dash. Heat races were won by Schram and Jesse Williamson.
The Northwest Extreme Late Model Series is back at the Central Washington State Fair Raceway on Saturday September 26th for the final race of the season. Racing is scheduled to start at 6:00 PM and Pit Passes are $35.00. Reserved Seats are available and are $18.00 each.
