SAPULPA, Okla. (March 29, 2016) Not the weekend Blake Hahn had hoped for in the Lucas Oil No. 52 at the Cotton Bowl Speedway and Bronco Raceway Park with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network, but nevertheless the team now turns its attention to the Eagle Motorsports Rock N’ Roll 50 presented by TBJ Promotions at the Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Ark.

Taking on the Cotton Bowl Speedway in Paige, Texas on Friday night, the three-eighths mile oval has not been kind to Hahn in the past, a theme the Oklahoma driver was looking to correct.

“The last time I was at Cotton Bowl, I ended up flipping in the A-Main and this time in the Heat I got upside down. Everyone in front of me started crashing, and I just had nowhere to go. We barely got the car back together for the B-Main and ended up making contact with another car and flattened the Left Rear so we had to take a Provisional into the feature. The car was okay but with Provisionals not counting for points this season, once I got lapped, it was better to save the car and pull in.”

Hahn’s first visit to the Bronco Raceway Park, things fared much better for the Oklahoma driver, despite ending up in another B-Feature.

“The track was narrow in the Heat so we weren’t able to move forward, so that put us in the B-Main which we won. We didn’t change much on the car all night. Even in the feature, the track was still really tacky so moving forward was tough, but we were able to get up to 14th. Not the run we needed, but the car is in one piece and we were able to come back a little in the standings from Friday."

Looking at the Rock N’ Roll 50, the Riverside International Speedway stands as one of Blake’s favorites.

“We ended getting to the lead last year, and I feel like we had a real shot a winning before we tagged the wall. I’m looking forward to getting back.”
