Cottage Grove, Oregon- This weekend will be a busy one at Cottage Grove Speedway as the historic ¼-mile clay oval will be hosting a doubleheader weekend of fast-paced breathtaking action. It all kicks off with the first $5.00 Fast Friday of 2016, on Friday May 13th, and wraps up on Saturday, the 14th, for Grad Night. Classes racing on Friday are the Clark Printing Sprints and Dwarf Cars while on Saturday it is the Clark Printing Sprints, Late Models, Quality RV Repair Hornets, and Dwarf Cars. Also on Saturday any High School Senior, with a student body card, get into the race for FREE.

On Friday the track is offering a special promotion where spectators 13 on up get into the races for just $5.00 and if you’re 12 or under admission is FREE. Racing will be starting a little bit later so everyone has time to get off of work. Things will get underway at 7:00 PM.

The Clark Printing Extreme Sprints continue their marathon run after three straight races. In those three events there have been three different winners. Dusty Redmond and Dave Hibbard captured the first two features while getting the job done last week was Ricky Ashley.

Darren Coffell was dominant in the first Late Model race of the season and after a month long break the class was back last weekend. Britton Donahoo was triumphant to score his first career Late Model victory. He will look to make it two in a row on Saturday.

The Quality RV Repair Hornets have been apart of every single race in the current campaign. Josh Corley has managed to win three races in a row and looks to capture his fourth straight on Saturday. K.C. Scott is the only other winner in the class and he picked up his victory at the Season Opener.

The Dwarf Cars are always a treat to watch and are expected to have a great car count for two nights of racing. Cars from all over Oregon are expected to make the trip and don’t be surprised if these little cars go three or four wide. Also be sure and visit the pits after the races to see these tiny things up close and meet the drivers that chauffeur them.

Tickets for Saturday are Adults $13.00, Juniors/Seniors/Military $10.00, Youth (6-12) - $5.00, Family Pass $30.00, and Children 5 or under are FREE. Pit Passes will be offered for $30.00 each.
