Channin Tankersley Is Hot at the Heart O’ Texas With ASCS Gulf South

WACO, Texas (July 22, 2016) Garnering his third triumph of the season with the Griffith Truck and Equipment ASCS Gulf South Region presented by Southern Trailer Works, Channin Tankersley scored his second win of year at the Heart O’ Texas Speedway in Round 2 of the 2016 Waco Metals Shootout.

The opening night of the 12th annual Summer Nationals, Tankersley’s $2,000 score was ASCS Gulf South career victory No. 17, moving the Highlands, Texas shoe to sixth in the series all-time win list.

Charging from fifth, the driver of the G3 Boats No. 14 was chased to the stripe by seventh starting, Tommy Bryant. Making moves from the 10th starting spot, Jacob Lucas grabbed the final podium step. Harli White from ninth and Jacob Lucas from 12th made up the top-five.

Ray Allen Kulhanek crossed sixth in the No. 17 with Zane Lawrence making his way thought the field from 13th to seventh. Kevin Ramey grabbed eighth with Raven Culp and Claud Estes completing the top-ten.
