Channin Tankersley Plucks Another One With ASCS Gulf South At Cotton Bowl

PAIGE, Texas (July 23, 2016) Winning Friday night at the Heart O’ Texas Speedway, Channin Tankersley carried his momentum into the Cotton Bowl Speedway on Saturday night to score the weekend sweep with the Griffith Truck and Equipment ASCS Gulf South Region presented by Southern Trailer Works.
The second time in 2016 that Tankersley has swept a Gulf South weekend lineup, the back-to-back wins came with another $1,000 bonus courtesy of Cooper Motorsports and Challenger Drilling.
The fourth time in 2016 that the G3 Boats No. 14 has parked in Victory Lane, Channin crossed ahead of Scottie McDonald with Tommy Bryant making up the nights podium from the eighth starting spot. Jacob Lucas was fourth with Zane Lawrence from 17th making up the top-five.
Michael McNeil was sixth with Dustin Gates seventh. J.J. Simmons, Caleb Martin, and John Pate rounded out the top-ten.
The Griffith Truck and Equipment ASCS Gulf South Region presented by Southern Trailer Works will be back in action on August 19 at the Heart O’ Texas Speedway in Waco, Texas and August 20 at Lone Star Speedway in Kilgore, Texas.
