Banks, Oregon- If you are an avid fan of IMCA Modified racing then you will definitely want to make it to Sunset Speedway Park for the IMCA Modified Twin 50 presented by Schram Brothers Excavating. For drivers chasing either track, state, or even regional points this is a terrific opportunity to cash in big. In addition to the Budweiser IMCA Modifieds, there will also be the IMCA Sport Mods, Bridgeport Logistics Street Stocks, and both classes of 600cc Micro Sprints.
There will be two fifty laps races which will mean you get main event points for each feature and get paid twice. But we want to let all drivers know if you are planning to race in both main events in the Modifieds you MUST PAY FOR TWO ENTRY FEES.
In the Budweiser IMCA Modifieds this year, Craig Cassell is the only driver to have won more than once with his two triumphs. Bubba Foster, Kenny Miller, Collen Winebarger, Kyle Yeack, and Kellen Chadwick have managed to win on one occasion.
John Henry and Michael Melton are tied for the most visits to victory lane with three each. Mike Graham has two wins at SSP while Chris Frisbie has just a single victory.
Arnie Case has put together an impressive season together at the “Banks Bullring” in 2016. Case has five total wins this year and is the only driver to win more than once. Benny Sauter, Travis Koch, Chris West, Roger Hubbard, and Travis Pitsch are the year’s single-race winners.
In the 600cc Restricted Micro Sprints Lane Taylor is atop the win column with his three trips to the winner’s circle. Dakota Drake, Jesse Schlotfeldt, and Kaden Holm all have managed to win just once this year. In the 600cc Open Devon Borden has two wins while Jeff Broadwell, Jesse Schlotfeldt, Jon Farrell, and Joe Constance all have one.
Pit Gates on Saturday will open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates open at 4:00, and racing starts at 6:30.
