Banks, Oregon- After taking a week off for Labor Day weekend, Sunset Speedway Park returns to racing action on Saturday, September 10th, which will be presented by 98.7 The Bull. Classes in action include the Wingless Sprint Series, Dwarf Cars, 4-Bee’s, and both Micro Sprint classes as well as a Bump-To-Pass race. It will be the final race of the season for the Micro ranks.

The Wingless Sprint Series will be in action for the last time on Saturday. They have been to SSP once this year and Wayne Van Raden was the big winner. Expect to see some of the top Sprint Car talent from Oregon and Washington on hand.

The Dwarf Cars have been dominated by Shane Youngren this season. Youngren has five wins while Guy Tow Jr. has managed to visit victory lane twice. Single-race winners include Guy Tow Sr., Jimmy Brinster, and Marty Holmason.

Tylor Owen is the man in the 4-Bee’s that everyone has been trying to beat. Owen has put together an incredible season with six victories in nine starts. “Maverick” Cody Jones, William Wolfe, and Danny Asher all have one win apiece.

In the 600cc Open Micro division, two drivers have the most wins. Jeff Broadwell and Devon Borden each have managed to win twice. Jeff Little, Jesse Schlotfeldt, Jon Farrell, and Joe Constance have visited the winner’s circle once.

Last but not least is the 600cc Restricted Micros. Lane Taylor has four wins this season which accounts for half of the races they’ve run in 2016. Casey Starr, Dakota Drake, Jesse Schlotfeldt, and Kaden Holm all have a single triumph to their credit.

Pit Gates on Saturday will open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates open at 4:00, and racing starts at 6:30. Tickets for this event are Adults $13.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-18) $10.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $5.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE and a family pass will be offered for two Adults and up to four Youths for just $35.00.
