TULSA, Okla. (August 15, 2017) Down to the final four rounds of competition for the Griffith Truck and Equipment ASCS Gulf South Region in 2017, two of those battles will be held this weekend with Heart O’ Texas Speedway in Waco in action on Friday, August 18 followed by South Texas Speedway in Corpus Christi on Saturday, August 19.

Seeing a single night of racing with the Griffith Truck and Equipment ASCS Gulf South Region in 2017, Heart O’ Texas Speedway was won over by Michael Lang on May 5. Washed out on June 2, Friday’s showing at the quarter-mile oval is slated to be the series 33rd visit. The Friday night affair will also include IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars, IMCA Southern Sport-Mods, IMCA Hobby Stocks and Factory Stocks with Hot Laps getting underway at 7:30 P.M. (CDT).

Returning to the lineup for the Griffith Truck and Equipment ASCS Gulf South Region for the first time since 2013, South Texas Speedway in Corpus Christi is a quarter-mile banked oval that first opened in 1994. Having hosted ASCS events as far back as 1998 with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour on hand, the series last visit in 2013 was topped by Aaron Reutzel.

Saturday, August 19 at South Texas Speedway goes green at 8:00 P.M. (CDT) and includes Southern Sport-Mds, Put Stocks, E-Mods, and Go Karts. Information on the track can be found at http://www.raceincorpus.com as well as the track’s Facebook page.

Going into this weekend’s Gulf South double header, Ray Allen Kulhanek continues to show the way by 216 markers in tour standings over Zane Lawrence with Dustin Gates, Jacob Lucas, and Channin Tankersley making up the top-five.
