Kastner Finds Victory Lane at Dacotah Speedway
Alex Thompson started on the pole for the IMCA Sport Compact feature. Caution on lap one regrouped the field allowing Craig Kastner to grab the lead on the restart. Kastner stretched the lead but with five laps to go, second place Seth Howe-Kellar started to reel him back in. As Howe-Kellar cut into Kastner’s lead, third place Alex Thompson had his hands full with Andy Reed. Thompson held off Reed but Reed fell into the clutches of Stan Thompson and Ken Sandberg. With two laps to go, Stan Thompson passed Reed for fourth. Andy Reed held off Ken Sandberg to finish fifth. Stan Thompson finished fourth behind his son, Alex Thompson while Seth Howe-Kellar ran out of laps and could not catch feature winner Craig Kastner. The feature win was Kastner’s first at his home track of Dacotah Speedway.
