Hoff Holds Off Wiest for Feature Win
Dauntae Martin and Brandon Anderson started on the front row of the INEX Legends feature. Martin led the first three laps before Flasher’s Troy Hoff took the lead on lap four. An early caution regrouped the field and on the restart, Donavin Wiest was all over Hoff’s rear bumper. A series of cautions slowed the pace of the race but on the final restart with seven laps to go, fourth place Drew Papke found a burst of speed along the high side of the track and passed Martin for third. Papke began to close in on leaders Hoff and Wiest. While Hoff and Wiest raced side by side for the lead, Papke was lurking in third. As they took the white flag, Hoff and Wiest were door to door for the win. Wiest threw his car in hard into the corner but got loose coming out of turn four. Troy Hoff picked up his first feature win of the season at Dacotah Speedway. Donavin Wiest held on to finish second ahead of a Drew Papke. Dauntae Martin finished fourth while his brother Preston Martin rounded out the top five.
