Ron Teel and Rod Smith Claim Overall Silver Cup Victories at Battle Mountain

BATTLE MOUNTAIN, Nevada (Sept. 3, 2018) - Both Ron Teel and Rod Smith claimed the overall victory in points between Friday and Saturday night at Battle Mountain Raceway's Silver Cup with the NOW600 Northern Nevada Micro Sprints.

The weekend was the inaugural nights of competition for the Northern Nevada Micro Sprints under the sanctioning of the National Open Wheel 600 Series.

Friday night saw Ron Teel clinch the Winged A-Class win while Rod Smith picked up the Winged Outlaw win.

Steve Schwarzkopf claimed the Saturday night win in Winged A-Class and Axle Smith won the Winged Outlaw feature.

Overall points were calculated between the two nights and the outcome is as follows.

Winged A-Class:

4. Shayla Fast

Winged Outlaw:

1. Rod Smith
2. Axle Smith
3. Hazen Anderson
4. Ethan Fast

The NOW600 Northern Nevada Micro Sprints will return to action at the end of September.
