Peterson Wins Friday and McIntosh Wins Saturday with NOW600 Tel-Star Mountain West Region at Sturgis
STRUGIS, S.D. (June 9, 2019) - A two night event for the NOW600 Tel-Star Technologies Mountain West Region saw Tom Peterson and Doug McIntosh pick up the victories at the Jackpine Gypsies Short Track over the weekend.
Friday night, Tom Peterson went back to back with the Mountain West Region. Peterson used lap traffic on lap 15 to overtake Ryan Fulk. Peterson went on to lead the final five laps and pick up the win. Fulk crossed in the second spot with Doug McIntosh in third. Fourth went to Payton Parks with Wren Jacobs making up the top five.
McIntosh and Fulk picked up the heat race wins.
On Saturday, the 2018 Mountain West Regional Champion, Doug McIntosh scored the win in the 20-lap feature event. Tom Peterson crossed in the runner up spot with Wren Jacobs taking the third spot. Nick Olson was fourth with Ryan Fulk rounding out the top five.
Robert Bandy, Fulk and Wignall scored the nights three heat race wins.
The NOW600 Tel-Star Technologies Mountain West Region will return to action on Saturday, June 22 at the Jackpine Gypsies Short Track in Sturgis, South Dakota.
